I was fortunate enough to attend the dress rehearsal of The Little Mermaid at the Capitol Theatre last night. This has never been one of my favorite shows. I find the storyline needs to be shortened in the first act. BUT, Angie Dee and her creative team (hint: daughter Katie) at Audience of One have done a marvelous job of presenting this Disney classic. A group of extremely talented actors are perfect in their individual roles. An eye-popping set and the fluid transitions between the many scenes are to be highly commended. I found myself smiling at each performer's rendition of the Alan Menken songs. All in all, a most enjoyable evening.
