Pat Boone's "Grits"

When the 1950s merge with the 2020s, you get a music video of a favorite 50’s teenage star with the folks you know today.  Specifically, Pat Boone stars in a new music video called "Grits"!!

And this video includes some of our favorite people from the Audience of One theatre repertory group.  So proud to see AOO Director and my daughter's sister-in-law prominently featured in the video.  And then there is Macy Ruggiero, recently seen as Esmerelda in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."  And look out for Adriana Rivera,  Carolyn Rivera, Hope Beard, Josh Crabtree and more.

Here is the video for you to see:.

Kid makes Front Page of the Newspaper!!

Looking back at the pages of history.  The front page of the Cadiz Record newspaper, dated May 11, 1950.  Who is that funny looking kid on the bottom right corner of those six kids who were selected randomly to be shown in the center of the front page??  I'm not telling if you won't!

In case you can't read the small print, it says:
Future Trigg County Citizens

We bring you another in a series of pictures of Trigg county's future citizens.  TOP ROW: Willard, son of Mr. and Mr. James Hendricks, city; James, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Allen, city; James, son of Mr. and Mr. J. M Baker, city
BOTTOM ROW: Jerry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Calhoun, Cerulean; Loucretia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Haydon Pope, city, and Kenneth, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Bridges, city.

Oh No!!  It looks like we made the front page again, way back in September 1946 when the kid was only two years old.   He is in the third row, lower right corner:

Music in the Night

Don't Watch This Video!  Just sit back and listen to it.  Listen for the beautiful solo trumpet in the background as it comes forward and takes over the music of the piece.  Believe it or not that solo trumpet is a 14 year old, 8th grade music student who is doing outstanding work with only two years of music training.  Just wait till next year when she gets in high school...

Congratulations Grace!!
